Van Delivery Driver - Toledo, OH
The Van Delivery Driver is responsible for making timely deliveries in a Parcel Van or Non-CDL Delivery Truck to customers within the Midwest region. You will have daily interaction with our customers, transportation, and sales team.
What You’ll Do
- Load and secure product from the Toledo DC into a parcel van and or straight truck.
- Safely operate a parcel van and/or straight truck between the Distribution Center and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route.
- Abide by the company’s safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc.
- Unload and deliver products at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Provide in-person support to the customer – addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery.
- Communicate with the dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to the delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
- Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
- Perform an inspection of the vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid US driver’s license
- Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations.
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
- No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years
- Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 35 pounds
- Read and write in English
- Effective organizational, listening, and communication skills
- Upholds high standards of honesty and integrity
- Demonstrates personal ownership for safety and actively contributes to a strong safety culture
Schedule - Full Time
- Monday - Friday and Saturday as needed
- 8-hour days starting at 7:00 or 8:00 am based on business needs.
- Overtime will be required as needed. This may include delivery on Saturdays.
Pay & Benefits
- Compensation for this position starts at $20.00 per hour.
