- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive shafts, ensuring optimal vehicle performance.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and realignments to enhance safety and handling.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, welding, and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety standards.
- Service vehicle systems including brakes, steering, transmissions, diesel engines, and electrical components with precision.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and estimated timelines, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and automotive wiring diagrams for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS technology and automotive electrical systems integration.
- Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools and power tools to efficiently complete repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, including wheel alignment and suspension system repair.
- Ability to interpret service manuals and technical documents related to vehicle systems such as powertrain and transmissions.
- Strong customer service skills combined with a commitment to quality workmanship; experience with auto estimating is a plus.
