Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food and beverage orders.
- Prepare simple food items and beverages according to established recipes and safety standards.
- Manage customer orders accurately, process cash and card transactions, and handle cash register operations with precision.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and improve the guest experience.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and food handling protocols; including bussing tables and sanitizing equipment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while supporting food preparation tasks.
- Support team members in food service customer order management, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Assist with inventory checks, restocking supplies, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the front-of-house area.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is beneficial but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in food handling and cashiering.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment or supporting food preparation tasks is a plus.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing are essential.
