Position Summary
Antigua Catering & Events is seeking a dependable and organized Catering Warehouse & Logistics Assistant. This position supports catering operations by preparing event orders, maintaining organized storage areas, loading vehicles, and transporting supplies and equipment.
The right person follows packing lists carefully, works well without constant supervision, and takes responsibility for making sure each event receives the correct items.
Primary Responsibilites
- Prepare, review, and complete packing lists for catering events.
- Pull, count, organize, and pack equipment, serving pieces, linens, beverages, and event supplies.
- Verify all items before loading to reduce missing or incorrect equipment.
- Load and unload catering trucks and company vehicles safely.
- Deliver and pick up catering equipment, supplies, and event materials as assigned.
- Receive returned equipment, confirm quantities, and report missing or damaged items.
- Restock supplies and return equipment to the proper storage locations after each event.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, damage, or replacement needs.
- Help prepare the warehouse and loading areas for upcoming events.
- Follow food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures.
Who We Are Looking For
You don’t need a lifetime of catering experience to thrive here—we care much more about your attitude, your drive, and your organizational skills. We’d love to meet you if:
- You’re naturally detail-oriented, comfortable juggling a few tasks at once, and feel at home using daily office software and calendars.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to complete a job-related background check and motor vehicle record review, consistent with applicable law.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written packing lists.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments on schedule.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- Previous catering, warehouse, delivery, restaurant, or event experience is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Bilingual skills (English & Spanish) are highly preferred. Because we serve a diverse community and operate a multicultural team, being able to communicate fluently in both languages is a massive plus, but not needed.
Scheedule
This is a part-time position in the catering department. Weekly hours may vary based on the catering schedule.
Some weekend availability is required, especially during busy event season.
Additional hours may be available during busy event weeks.
Candidates interested in more hours may have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts in other areas of Antigua Restaurant Group, including events, restaurant operations, or other support roles, depending on availability and business needs.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay depending on your experience, but not to worry - If you are willing to learn, we are willing to train you.
- Flexible scheduling - We offer great day-to-day predictability, but we appreciate a little flexibility for extra hours when our event calendar gets busy.
