Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with menu selections, including wine and spirits recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits efficiently while maintaining proper drink service etiquette.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Support other team members with food preparation assistance or host/hostess duties during busy periods to ensure seamless service flow.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants is a plus; hospitality background highly valued.
