About The Role
In this role, you’ll be one of the final and most important touchpoints in a customer’s pool journey, bringing new pools to life through start-ups and hands-on customer education. You’ll guide homeowners on how to operate and care for their pool with confidence, while building trust through clear communication and product knowledge. In addition to start-ups, you’ll support service calls and perform minor repairs, giving you a well-rounded role that blends technical skill, customer interaction, and variety in your day-to-day work.
General Summary of Position
Responsible for completing all new pool start-ups and training customers on how to operate and take care of their new pool. Is knowledgeable of and comfortable with talking about any equipment or pool-related maintenance services that Anthony & Sylvan offers. Technician will also perform service calls as required and perform minor repairs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Education
High School Diploma/GED Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Years Of Experience
1-3 years technical experience in a service industry required
Required Skills & Abilities
Valid driver’s license required
Mechanical aptitude & problem solving
Excellent organization skills, quick learner, result oriented, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills required.
Team player with customer focus and self-motivated.
Must be willing to travel.
Travel Requirements
90-100%
Other Requirements
General pool background experience preferred
Water Chemistry Experience Preferred
NESP CMS & CMT preferred
Physical Requirements
X Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
X Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; often greater than 30 pounds
X Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
X Ability to operate heavy machinery or tools (with or without assistive devices)
X Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)
☐ Primarily sedentary work performed in an office environment
X Ability to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computer
X Ability to drive or travel between job sites as needed

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Perform residential swimming pool start-ups in accordance with company guidelines, including advanced water testing and chemical balancing
- Diagnose, repair, remove, and install swimming pool equipment as needed
- Safely handle, transport, deliver, and apply pool chemicals in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers, construction, and warranty teams; provide recommendations related to service issues and customer claims while supporting Division Customer Satisfaction (CSS) goals
- Complete accurate and timely documentation for all pool services performed
- Maintain current knowledge of pool service practices through vendor and trade show training and assist with in-field training of new technicians
- Maintain company vehicle in clean, safe working condition, including proper inventory control and stocking of materials
- Other duties as assigned
