Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site position in Downtown Tampa. The Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant will support attorneys with case management, document preparation, and legal research. Daily tasks include drafting pleadings and motions, reviewing filings for accuracy, and ensuring deadlines are tracked and met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, meticulous, and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) required
- Paralegal certification or relevant legal education is strongly preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Above-average typing speed with ability to transcribe oral dictation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word; proficient in PowerPoint
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat (PDF creation, editing, and formatting)
- Proficiency with Outlook, including scheduling and calendaring
- Experience with state and federal e-filing systems (Florida ePortal, CM/ECF, PACER)
- Ability to draft routine pleadings, basic motions, and discovery
- Experience with Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights, Complex Litigation, and trial/hearing preparation is a strong plus
- Excellent proofreading, cite-checking, and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced litigation environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Responsibilities:
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and docketing
- Coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and attorney travel
- Monitor court dockets and provide timely updates to attorneys
- Maintain organized and accurate electronic case files
- Track and calendar all deadlines and responses
- Coordinate with clients
- Communicate with clerks, judicial assistants, and court personnel to set hearings
- Draft routine pleadings, notices, and related filings
- Prepare exhibits, hearing binders, and trial binders
- Assist with trial/hearing preparation and logistics
- Cite-check, proofread, and format legal documents
