Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate
Location: Duluth, GA Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced logistics docking and loading terminal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods, ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments are handled with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Efficiently unload materials from incoming vehicles and stack them in designated warehouse areas; load outbound trucks for shipment.
- Inventory Management: Locate and move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment using reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Dock Operations: Manage docking terminal flow, ensuring trailers are loaded/unloaded according to schedule.
- Quality Control: Inspect loads for damage, document shortages, and report any quality deficiencies to management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily safety checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment (Required).
- Certification: Forklift Operator Certified.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) (Required).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment that may vary in temperature.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a solid understanding of industrial equipment.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
