Job Description
Position Overview: The Senior Project Coordinator supports the Project Management Office (PMO) and the project management team in the daily operations of ABB Idaho Wireless and Fiber construction teams, as well as ABB Nevada. This role is responsible for coordinating day to day project activities, resources, and communication among project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, municipalities, clients, and internal departments to ensure projects are executed efficiently, remain on schedule, and comply with company standards.
The Senior Project Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination throughout the project lifecycle, proactively identifying and resolving routine project issues while escalating complex risks or concerns to the appropriate Project Manager.
Essential Functions:
The Senior Project Coordinator will provide a wide range of operational support to the PMO and project management team. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Coordinate with project managers, construction team members, subcontractors, municipalities, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth day to day project operations.
- Coordinate communication with municipalities regarding permit applications, inspections, routine approvals, and project-related documentation.
- Coordinate project schedules, inspections, and subcontractor activities to support project milestones and timely completion of work.
- Communicate with construction team members to address missing documentation in work orders and project folders, ensuring project records remain complete and current throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and outstanding action items, proactively following up to minimize project delays.
- Monitor project status and communicate regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders as needed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project requirements, schedules, and documentation are communicated effectively.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, tracking logs, permit records, project folders, and status reports.
- Identify and resolve routine project coordination issues independently, escalating schedule impacts, client concerns, permitting challenges, or other project risks to the appropriate project manager.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple active projects, proactively identifying scheduling conflicts, documentation gaps, and operational roadblocks before they impact project timelines.
- Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, project documentation standards, and coordination workflows.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
