Job Title: Manager, Attorney Search (Private Practice)

We are partnering with a high-growth, globally backed recruitment firm to hire a Manager for its Legal Search team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role with the firm’s #1 revenue-producing office.
This organization has scaled from $0 revenue and 0 employees to 100 employees and $20M in annual revenue within 5 years, with consistent YoY growth. They offer best-in-class infrastructure, including a strong technology stack, deep financial resources, and operational support that allows teams to focus on production and growth.
The Role:
This is a player-coach position. You will lead a team while continuing to run a full 360 desk (Sales Recruiting), focusing on private practice and in-house legal placements.
You will take ownership of a small, but strong producing team (typically 2–4 consultants) while driving individual production and contributing to the continued buildout of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2–4 recruiters
- Run a full 360 desk (business development recruiting) or leverage strong delivery experience with increasing BD exposure
- Execute on private practice legal search mandates, with a focus on high-quality candidate and client management
- Build and expand relationships with law firms, including AmLaw 200 and beyond
- Drive revenue through both personal billings and team performance
- Partner with senior leadership on strategy, hiring, and team growth
- Maintain high standards of process, candidate experience, and client delivery
Ideal Background:
- Experience in private practice legal search strongly preferred
- Prior management experience is ideal, but not required for high-performing producers ready to step into leadership
- Background working with AmLaw 200 firms is a plus, but not required
- Experience in retained search environments (legal, finance, energy, infrastructure, PE, etc.) is highly transferable
- Proven success in a 360 desk environment, or strong 180 delivery experience with clear understanding of BD
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary (dependent on experience and level):
- AVP: $80,000
- VP: $90,000
- Director : $100,000–$110,000
Commission & Earnings:
- Uncapped commission structure tied to personal production
- Additional upside tied to team performance for those in leadership
- Eligible for quarterly bonus incentives
Expected OTE:
- Junior team members are earning ~$200,000 annually and trending upward
- Leadership-level hires have materially higher earning potential
Equity / Profit Sharing:
- Eligible for PUPs (profit participation units) after 2 years
- Participation in firm-wide value creation tied to future transaction events
