ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.Under general supervision, this position will:Receive, analyze, and respond to inquiries and requests for help with computer systems and mobile devices.Identify, triage, assign, and resolve problems received from all company users.Provide desk side support in cases where an issue cannot be resolved remotely.Document and escalate incidents when appropriate, while working with escalation points to provide accurate and necessary information.Use ITSM Tools effectively to track inbound incidents and communicate with End Users.Use, contribute to, and maintain the help desk knowledge base.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)High School Diploma or equivalent.CORE COMPETENCIESList and describe the required factors (i.e. knowledge, skills, abilities, software programs), that are needed for this role.A strong focus on customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and productivity.Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form with both non-technical users and technical.Understanding of IT functions to be able to describe technical procedures clearly.Basic understanding of computer equipment and peripherals, with a focus on how all peripherals operate and interact with the computer equipment.Competency in computer, networking, and mobile device technologies.High degree of flexibility, adapting to changing priorities and adjunct responsibilities.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESFunctions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Excludes occasional visitation to the field – reference Travel section.Office Related:Job is primarily performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.HOURS / SHIFTSRegular business hours.Available for on-call rotation and responsibilities on weekends and holidays for urgent issues or emergencies during off hours, as needed.PHYSICAL DEMANDSRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.Regularly lift, push, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds.Regularly be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc.TRAVELApproximate amount of time.Minimal travel may be required to other locations.
