Payroll Administration

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process semi-monthly and/or monthly payroll for U.S. and EU employees, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
- Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time in compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, timesheets, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports; coordinate remittances and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide clear explanations regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.
- Support payroll system updates, testing, and process improvements.
- Partner with external payroll providers and payroll tax specialists as needed.
- Record payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts in the general ledger.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure supporting documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Support preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and tax filings.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, as needed.
- Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external auditors.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll and accounting efficiency.
- Ensure payroll and accounting documentation is organized, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, senior leadership, and external advisors to support overall financial operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of payroll and/or general accounting experience; multi-state payroll experience required.
- Experience supporting international payroll (EU preferred).
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and payroll platforms; ERP experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in a public company or global organization.
- Exposure to medical device, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.
- Experience with DEEL payroll platform or other global payroll providers supporting international employees and contractors.
- CPA or pursuing certification preferred, but not required.
