POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Pizza Cook Department: Food & Beverage
Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 Reports to: Food & Beverage Director
Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
Pizza Cooks are responsible for providing quality culinary experiences for guests. The position will require the ability to perform a variety of tasks within the kitchen and will require a basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and preparing pizzas. The position will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow established health and safety standards and enhance the service and goals set by Antelope Point Marina.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Ability to work quickly in a fast paced environment and ensure kitchen standards are met.
- Accountability for food products and the culinary experience of guests.
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to to established recipes and standards.
- Operate pizza oven and other equipment to bake pizzas to perfection, ensuring proper temperature and cooking times.
- Skillfully apply toppings to pizzas in an aesthetically pleasing and evenly distributed manner.
- Ensure that pizzas meet quality standards in terms of taste, appearance, and portion size.
- Monitor and restock ingredients and supplies needed for pizza preparation.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Collaboration with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders, and address customer inquiries or special requests related to pizzas.
- Posses the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum age: 16 years old
- Valid Arizona Food Handler’s Certificate required prior to start or within the timeframe required by local county health department regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must adhere to company dress code and maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times

EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a pizza or fast-casual kitchen is preferred but not required
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in food preparation. Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as wood fire ovens, food processors. Accommodations may be made.

- Guest relation skills which allow calm, effective, polite and professional resolution of guest problems or concerns.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Employees will work both indoors and outdoors and at times in extreme weather conditions when reasonable.
ANALYSIS OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Standing 45% of the time - Frequent periods of standing while cooking or communicating with guests and staff and performing duties.
Walking 45% of the time - Carrying restaurant food and inventory and conveying information and orders through the restaurant.
Sitting 10% of the time - During breaks and while performing specific tasks.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Antelope Point Marina policy regarding employee performance evaluation. The employee understands that a 90 day performance evaluation will be conducted to discuss job responsibilities and performance requirements. Should the employee not meet the performance standards of the position, APM management reserves the right to terminate the employment relationship or relocate the employee to another position within the company, if available.
