POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Pantry Cook Department: Food & Beverage
Salary Range: $16.00 Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager
Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pantry Staff member to assist in the preparation and organization of cold and pre-prepared menu items. The Pantry position is essential to maintaining efficiency and quality in the kitchen, supporting chefs and line cooks with timely, accurate, and hygienic prep work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Prepare and assemble cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, dressings, and other pantry items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area, ensuring all food items are properly stored and labeled.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing as needed.
- Monitor stock levels of pantry items and notify the kitchen manager of any shortages or needed supplies.
- Ensure all food products are fresh, of high quality, and prepared in a timely manner.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
- Assist in other kitchen duties as needed, including plating and garnishing dishes, and supporting line cooks during busy periods.
- Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid/Current Food Handlers card required;
- Minimum age: 16 years (Arizona labor law compliance).
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food prep role preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, knife skills, and cold food handling.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
EDUCATION
- High School or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Prior culinary experience is preferred, but not necessary for this position. Previous experience as a Pantry Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge or ability to be trained in kitchen equipment and maintenance. Access to email service. Accommodations may be made.

EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Antelope Point Marina policy regarding employee performance evaluation. The employee understands that a 90 day performance evaluation will be conducted to discuss job responsibilities and performance requirements. Should the employee not meet the performance standards of the position, APM management reserves the right to terminate the employment relationship or relocate the employee to another position within the company, if available.
