POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Bartender Department: Food and Beverage
Salary Range: $12.15 Reports to: Food and Beverage Director
Employment Status: Seasonal FLSA Status: Non Exempt
POSTITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for providing quality food and beverage service to guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. This role ensures the bar area is properly managed, alcohol service protocols are followed, and guests have an exceptional experience. Bartenders work closely with colleagues, adhere to health and safety standards, and support the overall goals of Antelope Point Marina.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Greet guests politely and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere of hospitality
- Maintain a working knowledge of all menu items, specials, and beverages to accurately assist guests.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction, assisting with questions, requests, or concerns.
- Periodically check on guests to ensure needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Accurately take and input orders into the POS system and confirm order accuracy.
- Properly handle all alcoholic beverages, following responsible service procedures and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to relay information and maintain smooth workflow.
- Work efficiently under high-volume conditions while maintaining service quality.
- Understand and adhere to restaurant layout, workflows, and service processes.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper reporting procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations in the bar and surrounding areas.
- Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Title IV Basic Alcohol Training required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.

EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a bartending or food and beverage service role, preferably in a high-volume or customer-focused environment.
- Experience using POS systems for order entry and transaction handling.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation, drink recipes, and alcoholic beverage service standards.
- Customer service experience demonstrating polite, professional, and efficient interaction with guests.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge or ability to be trained in point of sales system.

EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Antelope Point Marina policy regarding employee performance evaluation. The employee understands that a 90 day performance evaluation will be conducted to discuss job responsibilities and performance requirements. Should the employee not meet the performance standards of the position, APM management reserves the right to terminate the employment relationship or relocate the employee to another position within the company, if available.
