At Anta, we are outfitting A NEW TYPE OF ATHLETE. We are seeking a visionary Footwear Designer who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of craft, functionality, and aesthetic execution. In this role, you will define the visual and technological future of Anta footwear across our Basketball, Running, and Lifestyle divisions, creating disruptive, industry-leading products for the court, the track, and the streets.
As a Designer, you will be the creative engine driving projects from initial brief to final production. You will collaborate seamlessly with a global, cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, developers, and marketing experts to ensure your designs are culturally relevant, commercially viable, and engineered for peak performance.
The Role & Responsibilities
Designing for the Elite: You will have the unique opportunity to work directly with Anta's world-class roster of signature athletes. You will translate their on-court performance feedback and personal aesthetic into pinnacle, signature-level footwear.
Global Collaboration: This role includes regular market travel to our global headquarters in Xiamen, China. You will work on the ground with our international innovation labs, development teams, and manufacturing partners to bring your concepts to reality.
End-to-End Execution: Partner with product management and development teams to ensure your designs meet target price points, merchandising strategies, and production timelines without compromising on design intent.
Creative Leadership: Under the guidance of the Senior Creative Director, you will confidently present your concepts, seasonal directions, and strategic visions to key stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
Pushing Boundaries: Continually research and integrate advancements in biomechanics, sustainable materials, and modern manufacturing to elevate the Anta product line.
What You’ll Bring
Experience: 5-7 years of professional experience designing and developing innovative footwear. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in athletic or lifestyle footwear is required.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field (an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered).
Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with 3D design software is highly preferred.
Flawless Communication: The ability to create detailed, precise technical drawings and tech packs to effectively communicate design specifications to our overseas factory partners.
Hands-On Creation: Strong visualization skills ranging from rapid hand-sketching and digital rendering to physical cobbling and prototyping to validate your ideas.
Manufacturing Knowledge: A deep, practical understanding of footwear construction, tooling, plastics, textiles, and modern engineering materials.
A Disruptive Mindset: You are naturally curious, a proactive problem-solver, and deeply driven by the mission to create gear that empowers A NEW TYPE OF ATHLETE. You can generate a wide range of concepts and pivot quickly to find the best solutions for each project.
