Catering & Event Logistics Coordinator

The coordinator is responsible for the managing the special events that come through both Events and other departments relating to catering. Catering will often be a branch of culinary where we assist on high production days with food preparation. Guest experience is of highest priority. Preparing and serving our guests with Excellence while reflecting SERVE in all we do. 

This coordinator position focuses on all steps of catering to manage catering events from planning to execution. This will include inventory of stock items, planning daily pull list for future events, scheduling staff, requesting volunteer assistance, food preparation, dining set up, tear downs, and housekeeping of kitchen and storeroom areas. 

Travel- this position will require the need to travel to all ministry properties. (Creation Museum, Headquarters and Answers Academy) and any future locations, this may require the use of the catering van or box truck.

Responsibilities

• Give the utmost attention to food preparation to ensure high-quality guest experience.
• Ensure that the safety and hygienic operations of the cooking areas are adhered to by members of staff. 
• Enforce standards, departmental goals, and procedures.
• Montor all catering workspaces to ensure that professional standards and procedures are maintained. 
• Leading others with professional and caring attitude. 
• And all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
• Customer services skills: friendly and courteous with customers.
• Attention to detail: eye on food standards, costs, safety.
• Management skills: provides oversight of schedules, preparation and storage of food, and cleaning. 
• Problem-solving skills: ability to multitask and think quicky under pressure. 

Education & Experience

• 2 years of service experience. 
• Health department and Serve Safe certified or willingness to re-certify.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and outlook email
