Ansell is looking for a Sr. Data Architect to join our team in Iselin, NJ!
The base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $155,000 US Dollars per year
Specific salary for this role may vary within this range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Candidate may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Medallion Architecture, strong data modelling skills, and a solid understanding of performance optimization in large-scale data environments. You will collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure our data ecosystem is scalable, reliable, and high performing.

What your role will be?
- Understand the existing reporting requirements and data structures.
- Design and implement Medallion Architecture to structure raw, cleansed, and curated datasets.
- Develop logical and physical data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
- Define and enforce data governance, quality, and lineage standards.
- Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and query performance for large-scale datasets.
- Partner with engineers to ensure scalable data pipelines and cost-efficient storage strategies.
- Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and patterns to improve data architecture and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into optimal data solutions.
- Provide guidance on data security, compliance, and privacy best practices.
What you will bring to Ansell?
- Experience in Global B2B environment in domains like Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing and Finance, with strong business acumen.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Extensive Azure Databricks experience and certification
- Strong knowledge of Medallion Architecture principles (Bronze–Silver–Gold layers).
- Proficiency in data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical) using tools such as Erwin, dbt, Lucidchart, or similar.
- Expertise in SQL
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration (ADF, Airflow, dbt, etc.).
- Understanding of performance tuning for both batch and streaming data.
- Strong grasp of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Delta Lake and Apache Spark performance tuning.
- Familiarity with data mesh or domain-driven data design concepts.
- Background in machine learning data preparation and feature store design.
