Mailroom Equipment Operator

• Sets up of equipment for production and ensure standards and specifications are followed.
• Constantly verify all material entering and exiting production to ensure it matches work order and sample provided.
• Performs quality checks for proper material order, barcode clarity and postage and aware of customer specifications.
• Oversees mail helper for proper tray, sort and tag to meet USPS requirements.
• Self-motivated and aware of quality control; Pays close attention to detail
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor/manager.
• Read and understand the job ticket
• Trouble shooting and maintain equipment as needed
• Follows management direction/instructions, able to provide quality feedback, operating suggestions and doesn’t require constant oversight

Educational/Training Requirement:

• HS Diploma

Experience:

• 2 years of mailroom/direct mail related experience preferred

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous experience of inkjet, mail inserters and USPS regulations.

·Understanding job instructions and postage related to proper application of customer job specification to aid in quality control/use and application of quality checks

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge/familiarity with shop floor data collection methods including labor/material entries and file transfer for mail list transfers to equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
• Hardworking, team player and mechanically inclined
