A well-established roofing company in the Phoenix area is seeking an experienced Roofing Service Manager to oversee the daily operation of a busy roofing service department.
This position is responsible for leading a small field service team, supporting customers through the service process, coordinating daily repair activity, reviewing job documentation, and helping ensure service work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The Service Manager will work closely with dispatch, customer service, technicians, vendors, and management to keep service calls moving and customers informed.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Service Manager will be expected to run service appointments, inspect roofs, diagnose roofing issues, prepare repair estimates when appropriate, and determine when a repair may not be the best long-term solution for the customer. Recommendations must be made honestly and professionally, based on the condition of the roof and the customer’s best interest.
The role also includes direct oversight of service technicians. This includes reviewing daily schedules, confirming crews are prepared for their appointments, monitoring job progress, reviewing completed work, checking notes and photos in ServiceTitan, addressing callbacks or warranty concerns, and coaching technicians when expectations are not met.
A strong candidate will understand residential roofing service work, customer communication, field productivity, and the importance of accurate documentation. This person must be comfortable managing technician performance, reviewing labor hours, addressing idle time, confirming lunch and timekeeping accuracy, and ensuring overtime is approved before it occurs.
This position requires someone who can balance customer service, roofing knowledge, team leadership, organization, safety, and accountability. The successful candidate will help the department provide timely service, quality repairs, clear communication, and dependable follow-through for homeowners, HOAs, property managers, and internal staff.
