- Directly supervises warehouse staff, setting clear performance expectations and ensuring adherence to established processes and safety protocols.
- Manages all receiving, storage, and distribution activities by implementing standardized procedures for inbound and outbound goods, verifying shipments for accuracy, and ensuring proper documentation. Maintains precise inventory records and monitors stock levels to ensure timely availability of critical parts and materials for maintenance operations.
- Oversees procurement activities, including sourcing, evaluating bids, and negotiating with vendors to ensure cost-effective and compliant purchasing aligned with organizational standards.
- Responds promptly and professionally to service requests and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction across all supported departments.
- Oversees budget utilization for warehouse operations, monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving strategies without compromising service quality.
- Serves as the Computerized Maintenance Management System subject matter expert, ensuring accurate data entry, leveraging analytics for decision-making, and driving process improvements.
- Develops and enforces robust inventory control practices to minimize discrepancies, reduce waste, and maintain compliance with organizational standards.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact to resolve issues, improve service delivery, and foster collaboration.
- Plans and supervises annual physical inventory audits, ensuring accuracy and accountability for all supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing workflows and introducing best practices to optimize efficiency and operational reliability.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education
- Associate's Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
- Three (3) years professional experience in storekeeping-warehousing/inventory control-distribution required; and
- One (1) year experience in a supervisory or management role required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations within a logistics environment.
- Ability to interact with managers and peers to apply sound communication and motivational techniques.
- Experience/training in inventory/record keeping tasks.
- Ability to perform tasks on a computerized inventory control system.
- Knowledge of automated processing equipment systems.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to train subordinates.
- Ability to safely use warehousing equipment such as genie lift, fork lift, pallet jack.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
