Shift: The first six months up to one year will start between 3:00am & 4:00am.
Thereafter, the typical schedule will be from 6 a.m. until finished.
Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager will play a significant role in a fast-growing North American Gourmet Food Distribution company by developing & maintaining the Food Safety and Quality Chain Management System (QCMS) and supporting the field locations in compliance to the applicable Policies and Procedures. Key responsibilities involve working directly with all operations leads throughout the network, conducting on site audits against the QMS, and keeping all facilities ready for Third Party and Customer Audits.

What you’ll do:
- Establish, maintain, and develop the Corporate Food Safety and Quality Policies as well as applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ongoing review and audit at field locations to ensure compliance to the QCMS.
- Develop professional relationship with warehouse operations leads, to ensure product safety strategies are implemented.
- Support implementation of GFSI certification where applicable.
- Ensure that quality tests and procedures are properly understood and followed.
- Ensure contractual deliverables are met with each client to its satisfaction.
- Maintain FDA registrations for all locations.
- Provide technical support for quality training at the distribution sites as well as development of technical training in the areas of HACCP, Allergen Control, Sanitation, etc., as required.
- Work directly with IT to ensure systems meet the needs of HACCP requirements, regulatory requirements, etc. as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience with GFSI recognized standards is preferred.
- Direct experience with Third Party GMP Audit standards such as AIB, NSF, etc.
- Bachelors or equivalent education and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Food Distribution/Manufacturing, Food Safety, and Quality Assurance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
