Job Description
Nature of Work:
Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment and ongoing medication management for individuals with mental health diagnoses who are currently receiving care for opioid use disorder and co-occurring substance use disorders. Requires on-site availability at least one day per week, responsiveness to emergent needs during the week, and proficiency with telehealth platforms. Ideal candidates will have experience working with individuals receiving medications for opioid use disorder and demonstrate an understanding of a harm reduction and person-centered model of care.
Education
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience
Previous experience prescribing psychiatric medication to individuals with substance use disorders.
License Or Certification
Must possess a current license as a nurse practitioner from the Maryland Board of Nursing with Psych specialization from the Maryland Board of Physicians.
Desired Or Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience prescribing psychiatric medication to individuals on medication for opioid use disorder.
