Location: 6701 Baymeadow Drive, Suite B, Glen Burnie, MD 21060 Hours: 40 hours per week Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical, paid holidays and sick leave. Optional deferred compensation program at employee's own expense.
Job Description
Nature of Work:
Under the supervision of the Healthy Start Program Supervisor, provide education and case management through home visits, face-to-face contacts and telephone calls to high-risk pregnant women, postpartum women, and children up to the age of two years. Provide outreach to private individuals, health care providers, community groups, and organizations to educate about services and available resources, and to obtain Healthy Start referrals.
Education
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience
Maternal Child Health and/or home visiting experience preferred.
License Or Certification
Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
Notes
Spanish-speaking is desired but not required.
