Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401 Hours: 40 hours per week Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical, paid holidays and sick leave. Optional deferred compensation program at employee's own expense.
Job Description
Nature of Work:
Assigned cases to determine the eligibility of applicants for Medical Assistance. Review client information for continued eligibility, maintain case materials and resolve problems for the Medical Assistance for Families/Maryland Children’s Health Program (MA4F/MCHP). Once eligibility is determined, clients are provided with comprehensive medical coverage. By making health care available, the agency achieves its mission to preserve, promote and protect the health and well-being of all people by advancing health equity in Anne Arundel County.
Minimum requirements include basic math skills, knowledge of Google Suites (Gmail, Sheets, Google Drive, Calendar, Docs), ability to work independently and with a team, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and customer service experience.
Bilingual is preferred with proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Spanish, but not required.
Education
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
Notes
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate with two years of experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance or federal or state entitlement program, and/or in coordination of care. from an accredited college or university may be considered in place of the required education.
Desired Or Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Medicaid policy, Maryland Health Connection and Medicaid Management Information System. Basic understanding of health insurance plans. Bilingual preferred. Must be able to complete a reading, writing and speech basic test.
