What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Crew Lead position at Ankeny Lawn and Landscapes, LLC?
ETCH Outdoor Living is a fast growing company looking to add to our landscape installation division!
We are a dynamic, evolving, and growing Design, Installation and Maintenance company located in Huxley, IA. We have earned a reputation of being the expert in unique, and modern Landscape Designs and Lawn Care for the last 10 years. We have the pleasure of working with positive clients, enjoying the great outdoors, and seeing the beauty of our efforts every day.
We are looking to fill the role of a Crew Lead on a new crew. We do hands on training with our new team members and also encourage formal, technical training classes.
We are most importantly looking for excellent human beings!
The duties to be performed are including but not limited to:
- Hardscape services - Concrete Block Retaining Walls, Natural Boulder Retaining Walls, Paver Patios, Limestone Patios, Pool Installations, Outdoor Kitchens and more!
- Softscape Services - Plant installations, Tree Installations and Staking, Plant Care, Shrub Trimming, Mulch Installation, Rock Installation, and more!
Details:
- Pay rate is very competitive and will depend on experience and availability
- 40-50 hrs/week - with 1.5x Overtime
- Monday - Friday work weeks
- Full time positions from late March until the snow flies with winter pay options (snow removal) for year round work!
- Lift and move objects that weigh over 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Operate machinery such as skid steers, mini-excavators, trucks and trailers.
- Maintain safety standards and procedures while on a job site and ensure that all other team members understand the importance of our safety culture.
- Participate in required weekly safety training.
- Supervise, direct and manage team members for maximum efficiency and quality of work.
- Provide on the job training to team members to maximize quality, efficiency and safety practices.
- Read and understand commercial and residential landscape drawings while remaining mindful of appropriate elevation and gradation.
- Ensure that all appropriate tools and equipment are on site for maximum jobsite efficiency.
- Communicates the importance and ensures timely arrival of all team members on site daily.
- Ensures all personal protective equipment is worn at times when equipment or job task specifies.
- Communicates clearly with the Landscape Production Manager and client to ensure a smooth and efficient product.
- Communicates production goals with team members daily.
- Provide end of day/end of job reports to the Landscape Production Manager.
- Monitor and track job hours of all team members and report them to the Landscape Production Manager daily.
- Keep job sites, equipment and trucks clean with the help of team members.
- Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times.
- Organize the delivery of materials and aggregates on a jobsite and be responsible for their placement.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License with Insurable Driving Record
- Dependable Transportation to and from Work
- Ability to pass a background check
