Job Summary
Ankeny Dental Professionals is seeking an upbeat, motivated, and professional Dental Hygienist to join our practice. Our team is focused on exceptional patient care, and we are looking for a team member who embodies a passion for helping others. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, strong team player, comfortable scheduling patient's dental hygiene appointments, desire to learn and grow. A strong candidate would be comfortable discussing dental needs and helping to educate patients on the importance of dental care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including full range of cleanings from prophy to SRP, taking x-rays, and applying fluoride and sealants
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Skills:
- Valid dental hygiene license in Iowa
- Proficiency in using dental software systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to discuss treatment needs and educate a patient on the importance of care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
