Pottery Instructor Needed
Wednesday Evenings | March 25th - May 13th | 8 weeks
Time= 6:30pm-8:30pm with 30 minutes prep and 30 minutes of clean up. Total paid time 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
Size of class ranges from 4 to 9 students ages 16-90 years of age
We are looking for experienced instructors who are passionate about teaching ceramics.
This is a basics level ceramics class. Students should become familiar with handbuilding, and using a slab roller, as well as basic wheel throwing including, wedging, centering, pulling walls, the basics of shaping bowls, cups, plates, and trimming. You'll also instruct students on glazing their fired pieces using Amaco and Mayco brush-on glazes. Once the session concludes, our studio manager will kiln-fire the finished artwork.

QUALIFICATIONS for an Art Instructor
- BFA or BA required (or 5 years of equivalent experience)
- Experience teaching art/ceramics
- Exceptional time management for leading a class with adults with minimum to no experience with clay.
- Strong technical skills
- Significant first-hand experience in making ceramic art with Amaco and Mayco Products
- Passion for working with people and creating a fun/interactive experience
