Position Summary
As a Budtender, you will be the face of Ánimo Caribe, providing knowledgeable product guidance, processing sales accurately, ensuring compliance with New York State regulations, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and verify valid government-issued ID (21 ) in compliance with NYS regulations
- Provide responsible cannabis education and personalized product recommendations
- Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Package and dispense cannabis products in accordance with NYS compliance standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant sales floor
- Assist with in-store pickup order handoffs
- Support inventory tasks, including restocking shelves, checking labels, and organizing back-of-house areas
- Stay informed on product offerings, strains, and industry trends
- Report customer concerns or compliance issues to management
- Participate in ongoing training related to product knowledge and compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in cannabis, CBD, retail sales, hospitality, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in cannabis culture and willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented and comfortable following compliance procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Valid government-issued ID required (Driver’s License preferred)
- Must be able to pass all required New York State background checks
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time position
- Availability required: mornings, evenings, and/or weekends
- Pay: $17.00 per hour
