Are you a compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) looking to make a difference? The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County (AWL) is hiring! We’re seeking an RVT to join our shelter team.
What we are looking for: someone with a mission-based mindset that shows empathy, compassion, and enjoys educating staff, volunteers, and the general public about appropriate veterinary care and husbandry.
What You’ll Oversee:
- Vaccinations, deworming, and providing parasite treatments for incoming animals based on protocol set forth by the shelter veterinarian.
- Performing of diagnostic testing, as directed by the shelter veterinarian.
- Communication with our shelter veterinarian to deliver top-notch care.
- Assist veterinarian in surgery on-site.
- Lead by example, contributing to a positive, team-focused work culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current Ohio RVT license required.
- Veterinary or shelter experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player who can also work independently.
- Compassion for animals — especially those rescued from neglect or mistreatment.
