We’re looking for a friendly, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Kennel Attendant/Veterinary Assistant!

The focus of this position is to support our kennel and clinic— including walking, feeding, medicating, and cleaning — while also assisting our veterinarians and technicians during clinic hours during appointments.

Clinic Hours:

• Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Flexible scheduling available- some weekends ande vening availability is required. We are looking to fill both evening and daytime hours ( may consider 2 candidates). We love partnering with students interested in veterinary medicine-- however, we are looking for a part-time candidate who can commit to a year-round schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous , shelter, or veterinary setting)
• Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Engages with patients, clients and fellow staff in a clear, respectful manner as a representative of AMC
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Proficient in basic mental math, handwriting and typing skills
• Proficient oral communication skills and ability to multitask in a lively environment
• Physical ability to safely perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, or carrying up to 50 lbs

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
