Duties
- Care for dogs, birds, and other animals by feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring their health and behavior
- Assist daily animal care routines to ensure animals are comfortable and stress-free
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques; perform dog handling and bird handling with patience and confidence
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and animal care facilities through sanitization and routine cleaning procedures
- Support dog grooming activities such as brushing or bathing when needed to promote hygiene and comfort
- Assist with outdoor work tasks including yard cleaning, enclosure maintenance, and ensuring secure fencing for animal safety
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with customers about their hunt needs, while ensuring a welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals
- Knowledge of animal behavior, animal handling techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during tasks like moving supplies or lifting animals when necessary
- Experience in kennel operations or dog boarding facilities is preferred
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of animal care facility sanitization standards
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with custmores and visitors
- Outdoor work experience that demonstrates comfort working in various weather conditions
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
