Duties
- Greet clients warmly and handle all front desk communications with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Schedule appointments efficiently while managing cancellations and follow-ups to optimize daily workflow
- Collect payments, process medical billing, and ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with Veterinary Medical collection standards
- Maintain detailed client records, including pet histories, vaccination records, and treatment plans using veterinary software systems
- Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample collection and basic testing, adhering to aseptic techniques
- Support kennel operations by coordinating pet drop-offs, pick-ups, and ensuring proper animal husbandry practices are followed
- Handle animal restraint during examinations or procedures with care and knowledge of animal anatomy and behavior
- Ensure compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and USDA guidelines for handling controlled substances and regulated materials
- Facilitate communication between veterinarians, technicians, pet owners, and external laboratories to ensure seamless patient care
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized reception area that reflects our commitment to animal care excellence
