What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Veterinary Receptionist position at Animal Clinic of Leesburg?
Days would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30am - 5:30pm. (1 hour lunch)
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Assist with filing and organizing medical records
- Collect payments for services rendered
- Provide general information about pet care, vaccinations, and preventive treatments
-Provide compassionate care to our patients and communicate effectively with their owners
-Adhere to OSHA and clinic safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
-Participate in training and development programs offered by the clinic or external providers
-Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices
-Perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Proficient in computer software programs, including electronic medical record systems
