Veterinary technicians are essential to patient care, supporting surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery while helping ensure safe and successful outcomes for patients.
What You Ll Do
Surgical and Clinical Support
- Prepare patients and surgical suites while maintaining strict aseptic technique
- Assist in orthopedic procedures including fracture repair, knee surgery, and arthroscopy
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals throughout procedures
- Perform high-quality radiographs independently
- Assist with advanced imaging such as CT when needed
- Support post-operative recovery and rehabilitation
- Provide compassionate care across ICU, isolation, and treatment areas
- Perform treatments including catheter placement, blood draws, and medication administration
- Monitor critical patients and respond to emergencies
- Support pain management protocols
- Maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile environments
- Accurately document patient care and services
- Assist with lab work and diagnostics
- Educate clients on post-operative care and next steps
- RVT, LVT, or CVT required
- Strong interest in orthopedic surgery and advanced procedures
- Team-oriented with a proactive, positive approach
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Full-time position
- Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of rotation
- Starting pay from $25/hour
