TIG/MIG Welder / Conveyor Assembly Technician
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour shifts. Weekends are off, with optional overtime available on Fridays.
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented TIG/MIG Welder / Conveyor Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position primarily involves assembling conveyor belts and conveyor systems, while utilizing TIG and MIG welding skills to fabricate and assemble components. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work, has strong mechanical aptitude, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble conveyor belts and conveyor system components according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on fabricated steel components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Measure, cut, grind, fit, and prepare components prior to welding and assembly.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and company quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience with both TIG and MIG welding is required.
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic fabrication drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate common fabrication tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic.
- Previous manufacturing, welding, or industrial fabrication experience is preferred.
