Borla Performance Industries, the premier manufacturer of stainless steel exhaust systems and components, is seeking a qualified MIG Welder to join their team in Johnson City, TN.

The ideal candidate will weld components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, drawings, fixtures or work orders, using MIG welding equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up and assembles parts to be welded.
- Tacks and/or welds metal parts together using MIG welding equipment to complete an assembly or finished product.
- Repairs broken parts by welding them as assigned.
- Sets-up machinery for different welding jobs as required.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Complies and supports company quality policies and procedures.
- Follows safety rules and expectations and uses safe work practices.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of technical welding classes with hands on experience welding stainless steel preferred.
- High School/GED Diploma.
- Ability to pass Borla's performance welding test (thin gauge, stainless steel only)
- Requires a great degree of precision and control where damage can be considerable.
- Considerable glare emits from work, requiring the wearing of personal protective equipment.
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with superiors and co-workers.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols, etc.
- Basic mathematical measurement abilities including tape measure
