Job Overview - Primarily OTR Heavy Haul Lowboy
We are seeking a reliable and skilled OTR Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various airport locations such as DTW, DEN, and SYR. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of trucks, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and tankers. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. This role compensates per mile and for the loading/unloading process.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment onto a RGN Lowboy Trailer. Drive the RGN Lowboy trailer to its destination, mostly across the country. Deliver the items on the Lowboy RGN trailer.
- Operate heavy construction equipment in order to load your trailer.
- Safely transport goods to designated airport locations following established routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving or route driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and forklifts is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
