AngleZ Behavioral Health Services is seeking a qualified Medical Consultant to join our Behavioral Health Home (BHH) team. This role will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care team members to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals living with behavioral health conditions, substance use disorders, and other complex healthcare needs.
The Medical Consultant will provide clinical expertise, guidance, and oversight to support integrated, person-centered care and help advance quality outcomes across the Behavioral Health Home program.
This position serves as a medical resource to the BHH team, helping ensure the delivery of high-quality, coordinated care that addresses behavioral health & co-occurring needs. The Medical Consultant will work collaboratively with care coordinators, clinicians, and RN’s of ABHS to improve health outcomes and support our client’s needs.
Key Responsibility
The Medical Consultant may provide support in the following areas:
- Behavioral Health Home medical consultation and clinical oversight
- Integration of physical and behavioral healthcare services
- Substance use disorder treatment and recovery-oriented systems of care
- Population health management and social determinants of health initiatives
- Quality improvement and performance measurement activities
- Clinical case consultation and interdisciplinary team support
- Care coordination and transition-of-care strategies
- MaineCare requirements and regulatory compliance support
- Staff education, training, and clinical guidance
- Development and implementation of evidence-based clinical workflows, protocols, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Licensed physician or nurse practitioner.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral health and/or substance use disorders
- Knowledge of integrated care models, population health, and care coordination practices
- Familiarity with MaineCare regulations and Behavioral Health Home services preferred
- Strong collaboration, consultation, and leadership skills
- Commitment to recovery-oriented, person-centered care
