What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Coordinator position at Angels Senior Living?
Our goal, each and every day is to provide care, comfort and respect to our residents. We are looking for an individual with skill, ability and compassion to fulfill our full-time Activity Coordinator position. We believe that taking pride in everything we do for our residents is a calling.
The person we are looking for fully understands the health value for seniors who are involved in social and physical activities. We are looking for someone with endless energy who also is an effective motivator of residents while never running out of new and creative Life Enrichment Activities that make every hour of every day, EXCITING and FUN. The Activity Coordinator promotes three principles of assisted living: Offering choice, maintaining dignity, and promoting individuality to create an environment of "Optimal Living" for all residents.
Candidates must have the following knowledge and skills:
- Two years’ experience working with elders in assisted living and/or memory care
- Two years' experience in activity program planning and development
- Knowledge of computers and software applications necessary for the professional publication of monthly newsletters and calendars
- A valid state driver's license and any specialized licenses (or the willingness and capability to acquire) required to operate multi-passenger vehicles
- Certification in an accredited activity training course preferred
- Skilled at building relationships with residents and families
- Meet all health requirements, including acceptable TB results
- Meet State requirements on criminal background check
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
