Angels on High Preschool & PDO is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Preschool Co-Teacher to join our 4/5 Pre-K classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working as part of a team, and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Qualifications
* Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (required)
* Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
* Ability to meet Indiana childcare licensing requirements, including background checks and required training
* CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
Essential Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with the lead teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
* Foster a positive, loving, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Assist with classroom management using positive guidance techniques.
* Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.
* Prepare classroom materials and help maintain an organized, clean, and inviting learning environment.
* Assist children with daily routines, including bathroom breaks, handwashing, snacks, and transitions.
* Communicate professionally with families and staff.
* Follow all Indiana licensing regulations and Angels on High Preschool & PDO policies and procedures.
* Participate in staff meetings and required professional development.
