The Cart Attendant plays an important role in ensuring a positive customer experience from the moment shoppers arrive. This position involves collecting and organizing shopping carts, maintaining clean and safe entrance areas, assisting customers with loading items when needed, and supporting the front-end team. The Cart Attendant helps create a welcoming environment by keeping carts available, parking areas presentable, and outdoor spaces safe and organized.
Key Responsibilities• Retrieve shopping carts from parking areas and return them to designated entrances.
• Maintain neat, clean, and safe walkways and store entry points.
• Assist customers with loading groceries into vehicles when requested.
• Sanitize carts and ensure they are available and properly staged for guests.
• Monitor cart corrals throughout the day, keeping them organized and accessible.
• Support Front End staff with light assistance when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, especially while navigating parking lots and traffic areas.
• Friendly and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to stay active, walk frequently, and handle light physical tasks.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
