Position Summary
We are seeking dependable, compassionate, and professional Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to join our growing care team.
The CHHA will provide non-medical personal care and support to clients in their homes while promoting their comfort, dignity, independence, and overall quality of life.
We are looking for caregivers who genuinely enjoy helping others and understand the importance of being reliable, respectful, patient, and attentive.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Assisting with toileting and other activities of daily living
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Preparing simple, nutritious meals
- Providing medication reminders
- Assisting with walking, mobility, positioning, and transfers as permitted by the client's care plan
- Performing light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Assisting with laundry and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Providing supervision and safety monitoring
- Assisting clients with daily routines and activities
- Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition or behavior
- Following the client's established plan of care
- Accurately completing required care documentation
- Communicating professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team
- Maintaining client privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a current New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification
- Be dependable and punctual
- Demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to follow written and verbal care instructions
- Be able to work independently in a client's home
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Be willing to complete required employment screenings and orientation
- Have reliable transportation to assigned client locations
Schedule
We are hiring caregivers for a variety of schedules, including:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Part-time assignments
- Full-time assignments
Availability of hours will depend on client needs and caregiver availability.
