Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Help with mobility assistance, including lifting and transferring clients as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Administer first aid when necessary and follow care plans established by healthcare providers.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities or appointments.
- Document care provided and any significant observations regarding the client's condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and basic first aid skills is a plus.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely while following proper techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy at all times.
- Certification in direct support or relevant training in hospice care is advantageous but not required.
