Brooklyn based home care agency is looking for an RN Director of Patient Services. This is an administrative role and requires someone who is driven, self-motivated and compassionate.
The RN Director of Patient Services Professional is responsible for leading the planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating clinical healthcare and professional services of a Licensed Home Care Agency.
- Manages day to day clinical operation of the company following the organization's mission, philosophy, and goals
- Participates in short- and long-range planning for the home care program and in measures for program growth
- Participates in the development of the department's budget
- Oversees and administers the execution of quality measures for value-based and MLTCs incentive programs in the delivery of patient care
- Provides oversight to ensures all aspects of home care programs including personnel and patient care services operate within the standards and are compliant with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Oversees the execution of plans for the effective management of deficiencies in new case on boarding, service delivery, and relationship management with patients and their family
- Drives the company's various clinical initiatives in areas of new programs, employee on boarding, orientation, in-service, training, and clinical oversight
- Performs field visits to evaluate nurses and perform nursing visits in times of increased demands or scheduling issues
- Offers oversight to procedures to ensure prompt responses to workers' complaints regarding the provision of services
- Manages and tracks processes to ensure that environmental, social, and service problems are resolved timely
- Leads in collaboration with the HR department planning, implementing and evaluating the orientation and continuing education of all clinical staff
- Provides oversight to the clinic employee performance management
- Manages the hiring and training of new clinical employees
- Lead and provides oversight to the record management process for all patient records
- Works closely with administrator to develop, implement, and update the agency policy and procedures to stay compliant with all Federal, State and local law including Department of Health, Office of the Medicaid inspector General and various other organizations.
- Oversees proactively and recommends updates to all policies and procedures in accordance with the needs and rights of clients and caregivers, and compliance with acceptable standards of practice qualification. Implements the quality assurance program
Minimum qualifications
*Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
*Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees of the agency.
*Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, customers and the general public.
*Ability to perform mathematical operations as related to medication calculations, units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Able to read financial reports.
*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Qualifications:
*NYS Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Professional Nurse.
*Graduate of an approved school of nursing and holds a Diploma, Baccalaureate or Masters Degree.
*Two (2) to four (4) years experience in a patient care setting, acute care desirable.
* Two (2) to three (3) years experience in a supervisory or administrative position in a home care organization OR an equivalent and demonstrates a strong knowledge of Regulations.
Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per hour
