Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transaction Coordinator to join our team in supporting mortgage and financial services operations. The ideal candidate will manage the coordination of loan transactions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and smooth processing from application to closing. This role requires a strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting processes, and loan origination procedures, with a focus on delivering exceptional service within the mortgage industry. The Transaction Coordinator will be pivotal in maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to Fair Housing regulations, and facilitating effective communication among all parties involved in loan transactions.
Duties
- Manage the end-to-end process of mortgage loan transactions, including document collection, verification, and submission.
- Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, escrow officers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely processing of loans.
- Review and prepare contracts, disclosures (TILA), and other legal documents in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct credit analysis and assist with loan processing tasks such as escrow management and basic math calculations.
- Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and maintain compliance with all applicable banking and mortgage servicing standards.
- Utilize 10-key typing skills for data entry and maintain accurate records within loan origination systems.
- Monitor loan status updates, follow up on outstanding items, and facilitate communication between clients and internal teams.
- Assist in training new team members on loan procedures and regulatory requirements as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in mortgage servicing, loan origination, or related financial services roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, underwriting processes, TILA disclosures, escrow procedures, and contracts is essential.
- Experience working with loan officers or in a banking environment will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and credit analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in basic math skills, including calculations related to loans and escrow accounts.
- Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently with high accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
