Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee all accounting functions and manage office operations. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth administrative workflows. The ideal experienced candidate will possess strong expertise in various accounting software and principles, with the ability to handle complex financial tasks independently.
Duties
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements
- Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage and review credit limits for customers
- Reconcile bank and liability accounts regularly to maintain data integrity across all financial records
- Oversee payroll processing and related tax filings using Paychex
- Maintain detailed records of financial transactions and ensure adherence to sales taxes
- Assist with making and reviewing budgets
- Manage administrative tasks related to office operations, including document management and correspondence
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or office manager with a strong background in corporate accounting
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, debits & credits
- Experience with state and governmental tax preparation
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts including account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- High proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with team members
