What You’ll Do
As our Director of Quality & Compliance, you’ll serve as the organization’s Compliance Officer and a key strategic leader—guiding compliance, risk, and quality initiatives across home health and hospice.
- Lead and oversee the organization-wide compliance program, ensuring adherence to federal/state regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and accreditation standards
- Serve as Privacy Officer, managing HIPAA compliance, breach response, and privacy program oversight
- Direct regulatory survey readiness and lead all certification and accreditation survey activities
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance audits, corrective action plans, and risk mitigation strategies
- Partner with executive leadership and the Board to report on compliance risks and organizational performance
- Lead the Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee clinical risk management, incident reporting, and service recovery processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally (including IT and clinical leadership) to ensure alignment across compliance, privacy, and security efforts
- Analyze data to identify trends, reduce risk, and improve outcomes across services
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- 5 years of progressive experience in home health and/or hospice compliance and quality
- 3 years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility
- Deep knowledge of healthcare compliance, HIPAA/privacy laws, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and fraud & abuse laws
- Proven experience managing surveys, audits, and accreditation processes
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- High level of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail
- Relevant certifications (CPHQ, CPHRM, OASIS, CHC) preferred
- RN license in Maine
