Maine Family Services (MFS) is seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Director of Quality Assurance to lead compliance, audit readiness, and quality oversight across our residential programs.
This role is ideal for a candidate with strong expertise in MaineCare Section 21, OADS requirements, licensing standards, and policy development, who can drive accountability and ensure programs consistently meet regulatory expectations.
- Lead all QA and compliance efforts across programs.
- Conduct audits of members’ binders and documentation systems (Therap, Evergreen, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with Section 21, OADS, and licensing requirements.
- Identify risks and implement corrective action plans (POCs).
- Support and prepare programs for State inspections, including fire Marshal inspections, and licensing reviews.
- Develop, review, and update agency policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
- Provide guidance and accountability to House Managers and leadership staff.
- Attend weekly Senior Team meeting (in-office, Saco, ME).
- Conduct weekly visits to residential settings to monitor compliance and operations.
- Attend House Managers and Monthly House meeting.
- 10–15 hours per week, flexible schedule.
- One in-office day per week (Saco, ME).
- Weekly travel to residential programs required.
- $30–$40 per hour, based on experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or a related field; advanced certifications in QA/QC are a plus.

- Strong experience with MaineCare Section 21 and residential settings compliance.

- Experience with policy writing.
- Ability to work independently and enforce accountability
- Exceptional communication skills for training teams and collaborating across departments.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.
