Androscoggin Bank, a local community bank based out of Lewiston, ME, is looking for an experienced Client Service Representative II to work out of our Gray branch. This role is ideal for someone who has previous retail banking experience and is looking to make the move to a community bank that values their employees. Essential Functions:
- Is accountable for providing prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions, and representing the bank to the client in a courteous, professional manner.
- Receives checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enters transactions into bank records via on-line teller terminal. Accurately processes client payments for such loans as mortgage and installment, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges, if applicable, are collected.
- Cashes checks and pays money from savings and checking accounts upon verifications of signatures and client account balances. Inspects all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals, and so forth to determine their negotiability.
- Demonstrates and recommends consumer products. Proficiently cross-sells bank services, explains retail accounts, interest, annual percentage yields. Suggests the use of bank products and services to meet the client financial needs.
- Has successfully completed new account opening training and is proficient in onboarding new client relationships. Identifies client needs and refers to appropriate person for Mortgage, Business Services, Commercial and Trust products and services. Follows-up to ensure client satisfaction.X
- Effectively use Client Relationship Management System to document client interactions, calls, incidents and activities.
- Ensures branch is open and ready to conduct business each day, which includes handling the weekly branch schedule.
- Will be expected to learn and be able to perform any of the following duties: opening checking and savings accounts; controlling the vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing; processing check re-orders; opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging the needed information.
- Administrative tasks, such as report writing, may be assigned. May also compose letters or initiate telephone calls to clients concerning inquiries into transactions directly affecting them.
- Actively participates in branch sales and action plans to achieve individual, branch, department , & bank wide goals. Participates in outbound calling efforts to inform customers of additional products or services.
- May be required to travel to other Androscoggin Bank locations to assist as needed.
- Adheres to security, audit and safety policies set forth by the bank.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Other Qualifications:
- 6-12 months plus experience in a CSR I.
- Demonstrated accuracy, knowledge and proficiency in Teller duties.
- 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn teller processing software
- Desire and ability to learn many products/services and thoroughly explain their features and benefits.
- Ability to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale.
